FROM PEG:

Wish I had better news to share, but Rich has had a tough week. Our hospice nurse believes that Rich's time could be in weeks. Rich, however, still believes in a miracle. I believe that too, but there are times when I also wonder how he can make it another hour. He is not done fighting and is asking for your prayers for a marvelous and miraculous healing.

To peace, love and HEALING.......peg

  1. Dear Rich, Peg, and Family,
Of course, of course, of course, my prayers are with all of you for complete healing! As I have been doing all along, you will be in my constant, daily prayers. I will be also praying that you all have the strength each day to get through this.
    Lots of love,
    Vicki

  2. Dear Peg,
My heart hurts for all of you, esp. because you are all out there and the majority of your extended family is back here in MI ... wanting to help. I know we can pray, but I was also moved several weeks ago to inquire about Wings of Mercy (or Angels of Mercy on the west coast?). I sent the info to Carol and I think she might have sent it to you. I can forward it to you if you didn't get it! They could transfer Rich and you back to Michigan, which just might lift his spirits and give him more reasons to fight. Also, this would give his mom and siblings a chance to see him and say "goodbye". Please seek the Lord's guidance regarding this request; with Him, ALL things are possible!

    Love,
    Linda

  4. Dear family,
This is a treasured time to be together with Rich; a time when the spiritual is foremost and powerful even as life and death are painfully tangible. We realize that even as this anointed time is precious, it is also impossibly difficult for you who love Rich and remain with him. Because of the extreme human strain you are experiencing, we're praying for your awareness of being lovingly held by our Heavenly Father and for His strength and peace. Remember and be encouraged by how many are still 'holding the ropes', and holding you in loving prayer.
Keep watch for angels - and for "angels unaware". Love, Carol and Gary

  5. Thank you, Peg for the update...I know it's much more difficult to post a sad update, but I am here to tell you that miracles do happen. Joe's mom was given 2 or 3 days by a doc. but she lived much much longer, and up until the last day, she had a ball. She entertained (here in my house) every single Italian in town! She had so much company and was in such a state of delight to see everyone that we all forgot she was 'sick'...so however Rich wants to live his life, whether painting or with his grandchildren and immediate family around him, this should really help him. If he wants to see any of us, we'd be out there in a second. So, Peg, you can be our guide to let us know if any of our presence will help...or if his beautiful grandchildren are giving him all the joy he needs right now. Love to you all in this very tender time.
