OK, this is so ... I don't have the words...just so beautiful. If ever there was a reason to love the internet, it is this blog and these photos. Rich, Joe and I are so happy to actually see you! And those beautiful babies...If it's any consolation Rich, you still look as handsome as ever! No illness can take that away from you...miss you all and can't wait to meet these babies. Love Kassi
Hi Rich, Your grandkids are beautiful! You look so happy. They really are a totally wonderful dimension of life, aren't they? I don't know how I lived without them. My thoughts and prayers continue for you and your family as you make crucial decisions. My mom has a card for you and in case she hasn't sent it, know that she is thinking of you. Like your mom, she is having a hard time remembering things these days and actually sitting down and getting it ready to mail is a big undertaking for her. We've been keeping her posted as we get info. Take care. Lots of Landis love from me and my family. Vicki
We love these photographs! We've had Stella in our "photo gallery" (the fridge) since she was a newborn - what eyes! Praying for all of you - throughout every day. Love, Gary and Carol
We've TRIED to post a comment from the first minute your blog-space appeared - victory at last! To all of you others who are still trying: start over with your blog registration. Love, Carol
beautiful, rich, beautiful. you look so wonderful together with your GRANDKIDS!!!!!! that must be the greatest feeling in the world. i can't even imagine. peace, love and many blessings to you and ALL yours, renna
Dear Rich (and faithful family), I read an adage today that immediately made me think of you; it says: "Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass....it's about learning how to dance in the rain." We've watched as you've expressed joy and purpose in the midst of the storm....and we've watched as you've danced. We're watching and we're learning. Your contagious love of nature and people, your intelligence, your enthusiasm for all things spiritual, and your gifted story-telling all combine to make you a truly amazing teacher. However, the quality which makes you the absolute BEST is that you teach by example -by the life you live. Without realizing what you do; you teach well, and teach much. Shortly after you were diagnosed with Parkinson's disease,I asked, "How do you live everyday facing this diagnosis....how do you do it?" Your concise scriptural reply changed not only my daily vision, but impacted the realm of my life forever. You said,"Eternal Eyes." Then you continued with these verses: "Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, and we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are tempory, but the things which are NOT SEEN ARE ETERNAL."(2Corth.4:16-18) Rich, you continue to make a spiritual impact on many lives. Many people are changed and are encouraged when they learn about,or actually see the testimony of your life. This is how the Apostle Paul clearly describes you: "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus sake, THAT THE LIFE OF JESUS MAY BE MANIFESTED IN OUR MORTAL FLESH.(2corth.4:7,11)And HE said to me,"MY grace is sufficient for you, for MY strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches,in need, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong."(2Corth.12:9-10) Rich, I'm in awe of you spiritually as I see these verses manifested through you,and therefore Jesus manifested in your life. Only God knew that our little brother would teach us how to be strong in weakness.....and how to dance in the storm. Beloved Little Brother, keep on dancing.....we'll keep on praying....and praying...and cheering for you. Love, Carol and Gary
